
My work on the Disneyland Resort Public Relations team supported our goal to deliver consumer and travel trade PR efforts that build awareness of new and existing guest experiences, intending to drive visitation. Below are some of the main functions of my job and accomplishments.
Editorial Planning
- Developed announcement strategies for new and returning offerings at Disneyland Resort leveraging owned and earned tactics, scaled according to priority level.
- Ghost wrote posts for the Disney Parks Blog which delivered product key messages to consumer and media audiences, utilizing SEO insights.
- Maintained a robust editorial calendar and led cross-functional meetings to share key milestones and communications beats with critical partners.
- Reviewed editorial and social content driven by partners to ensure the inclusion of key messages and adherence to brand standards.
- Created and maintained a template for integrated communications plans that were leveraged across many campaigns, inputting PR and partner tactics to ensure robust, thoughtfully timed coverage of tentpole offerings from rollout through sustainment.
Media Relations
- Staffed press events of varying scale to ensure spokespeople delivered accurate key messaging and media leveraged available resources to use in producing robust coverage.
- Nurtured relationships with theme park, travel, entertainment and family media at in-person events.
- Drafted press releases, fact sheets, quote sheets, key messages, cutlines and media pitches for a range of announcements.
- Monitored coverage to ensure accuracy and keep a pulse on what media conversations around Disneyland Resort were focused on.
Project Management
- Represented public relations interests on cross-functional project team meetings to maximize the news value of in-park events, including Anaheim Ducks Day at Disneyland Resort.
- Fostered positive relationships with internal and external teams while working on projects, positioning myself as a trusted and reliable partner.

- Supported photo and video shoots to capture PR assets of park offerings as needed, working flexible hours and ensuring product was represented accurately and depicted Disneyland Resort in the best light.
- Trained junior team members and interns on editorial processes and making myself available as a resource for questions, advice and general feedback.
- Developed new organizational systems for content reviews, metric tracking and editorial processes to maximize efficiency and stay up-to-date on the latest tools and technologies.
